About Us

Judy and I moved to Smithville in 2002 and settled in one of the old Buescher family homes in the Historic District of Smithville. I retired from the corporate world of large software system sales to pursue my passion of photography. The upstairs of our home has been transformed into a photographic studio and the garage apartment has become a framing shop.

Years ago I began working on making our family snapshots into photographs. I started early in the digital movement and have had digital cameras since the early 90’s. Since then I have become enamored with combining the best of art and technology to produce fun and satisfying images. While the lighting, background, and all of the camera settings are important, what the viewer sees in the eyes and expression of the person in the image creates the photograph you study and look at for a long time.

I regularly attend workshops that cover everything from landscape photography to glamour and commercial photography. I constantly have new ideas I want to try or if you have a setting, an idea, or a theme you want to shoot, let’s get together and create images you will enjoy the rest of your life.
